Piercings

I'm going to do a post on piercing because they are one of the things in life that really interest me. I just have my lobes triple pierced and my nose. I did the 3rd set of lobes and nose myself lol. When I'm 16 I plan on getting a monroe piercing (just above your lip on the left or right hand side , Mutya Buena has one). I would get it now but .. well you know .. my mum! Lol.

You either love piercings or hate them! I love them and I would actually love to be a piercing artist when I'm older. I would love to open up a piercing studio on the Isle of Lewis (where I live) as there isn't one up here. Recently a lot of people in my school have been getting piercings. They have to go to Inverness to get them though! It would be so much handier to have a studio up here.

I've pierced the top (helix/cartilage) of my cousin's ear a couple of weeks ago. So far it has turned out nice and there is a good placement. She told me she didn't feel it when I pierced it. We numbed it beforehand with ice. And I pierced my friend's nose nearly 3 months ago. She didn't feel that either (but she let out a scream when I pushed the needle in .. she told me that was only because I pushed it all in at once and she got a fright lol) , but that was again .. because we numbed it.

I love love love my nose piercing to bits! I've only had it for nearly 4 months and I already have about SIXTY pieces of jewellery for it! My mother was very reluctant to let me keep it. She actually made me take it out the first time she saw it. She didn't realise I had other studs to put in it. But luckily in the end she let me keep it! I was very happy that day <3

Crocs

Okay it's official! Crocs are the ugliest shoes in the world! I mean who wants to wear hideous rubber sandles with HOLES in them! One of my friends (who owns a pair) told me that on eBay you can buy 'cool flowers and stuff to stick in the holes!' Er .. that doesn't sound very cool to me. And in a shop in town , they sell bright pink ones! Euuurgh! Here is a picture of the normal crocs.

And here is a picture of FURRY crocs! They do look comfy but ewww! They look terrible!

Hair Straighteners =]

I've decided to do a post on hair straighteners. Only a few days I got a new dream pair! Wide-plated GHD's =D I love them and my hair looks perfect with them!

But there are a lot of bad things about hair straighteners too. If you use them every day (unfortunately I do because my hair is so horrible lol) they can give you a lot of split ends and make your hair very frizzy.

But if you absolutely have to use your straighteners every day you should use some heat protection spray. I have some Tresemme and Avon heat protection spray and so far I think they are both quite good.

Some people don't really care what kind of straighteners they own and some think that £2.99 straighteners work as well as £114.99 GHD's but I disagree. I've owned a lot of straighteners. My Morphy Richards one and Babyliss (they went up to 230 degrees) would straighten your hair very well but after about half an hour it wouldn't be straightened anymore.

But with GHD's I straighten it in the morning and it stays straightened all day. Also on the box that my GHD's come in it says that they keep the natural oil in your hair. Quite good lol =]

Hi =]I'm Joanne and I am 14 years old (my birthday is 29/03/93) and I live on an island in North West Scotland. I love animals and I have 8 pets (3 hamsters , 1 gerbil , 1 cat , 1 dog + 2 guinea pigs). I have brown hair past my shoulders and blue eyes. I am 5ft 7in (tall for my age??). And I have 3 ear lobe piercings and my nose pierced too! When I'm older I'd like to be a make up artist , beautician or piercist (or beautician + piercist in one studio!). My parents think I want to be a teacher lol. Okay well my blog is going to be like a diary sort of thing. I won't reveal huge secrets!
